The commissioner of the CCAL determines if there is a reasonable doubt warranting a hearing. The commissioner contacts the League President with a request to convene an appeal committee. In the event that the school principal does not agree with the commissioner's decision, the school principal may contact the league president for a ruling.
Step 6. If an incident occurs that results in a disqualification of a player or coach during a period of time when schools are closed for holidays or other closures, and as a result no CCAL principals are available to conduct a timely hearing, the CCAL Commissioner will review the reported appeal and all of the related evidence before making the decision, independent from any other committee, as to the eligibility of the disqualified individual(s). This decision will be final.

Prior to the end of season sport league meeting:
1. The CCAL sports representative for that sport will send a blank all-league ballot to all CCAL varsity head coach at each league school.
2. Each CCAL varsity head coach will nominate the number of players for first team honors equal to the number of players fielded for a match or game. Example: Basketball = 5 first team nominees. Each athlete that is nominated should be ranked with #1 being designated the first choice to a number for the last choice. In this example each coach would rank the athletes from 1 to 5.
